3 of the top 4 teams in the eastern conference are teams most people were expecting to miss the playoffs. Carolina- First Rangers- third and Buffalo 4th. Who could have thought. I know i didnt think Pittsburg, Toronto and Boston would be having such terrible seasons....

to be honest i was expecting the pens to flop  since all they really improved was offence   which wasn't their main problem in past years   they did nothing for the defence or goaltending  so yea   the pens are no surprise (although i was expecting better than last)  but the bruins are what surprised me the most for the fallen teams     especially with how raycroft played last season     its a good thing ryder didn't fall to the same fate  that second year jinx.
