So the habs have quite a few games this month, starting off on the road with there next 5 games in 8 nights, we can't burn Huet out as much as we need him in, but we have to put some faith in Denis too, so when should he give Huet a break....this is what i was thinking......

MARCH 2nd - Thursday - Florida - Huet 4th - Saturday - T.B. - Huet 6th - Monday - Philly - Huet 7th - Tuesday - Toronto - Denis 9th - Thursday - Boston - Huet 11th - Saturday - NY.R - Huet 13th - Monday - T.B. - Huet 16th - Thursday - Carolina - Huet 18th - Saturday - Pittsburg - Denis 20th - Monday - Washington - Huet 21st - Tuesday - NY. Isles - Huet 23rd - Thursday - Toronto - Huet 25th - Saturday - Toronto - Denis 26th - Sunday - Pittsburg - Huet 28th - Tuesday - NY. Isles - Huet 30th - Thursday - Washington - Huet
Your schedule sounds about right, but a lot will depend on performance. I believe in going with the hot hand, so I say play Huet until he falters or gets hurt. I would likely put Danis in on the second night of a 2 games in 2 night series, so March 7, 21, and 26. It also helps that they are playing lesser teams those nights.
But again I say, wait until we see how they're playing. Huet is definitely the #1 guy now - and that would be the case even if Theo were available, IMHO.

Why Danis against Toronto twice? From where the standings are now, don't those games seem the most important? I can see what you are doing with puting a few games between starts for Danis, but if as they go forward Huet has to be number one, wouldn't it make sense to play him in the most important games. I realize that the next 23 games are all very important, but I was just wondering as to your reasoning.

Looks like Heet beat me to it. Playing Danis agaisnt Toronto is not a smart move. I suppose we would consider them somewhat of a lesser team, but those games are of the utmost importance. Any game against Boston, Toronto, New Jersey or any other team close to us in the standings has to have Huet in net.
I agree with resting Cristobal, but not against TO. If Huet's on fire like he was last night, we need the points so let him play (unless there's a <gasp> injury).
We're looking to Huet down the stretch, and we're still precariously perched in a playoff spot.
