Who else has family members who cheer for other teams besides the habs! i have 3 other brothers 1) a habs fan ( my good brother) 2) one that don't follow sports( not transformed to a habs fan yet, can't do much, lives in edmonton) 3) toronto fan( no hope, but on boxing day it is torment the toronto fan, good laugh, and all in fun)!! anyone else?

Even my mother is a Habs fan. And she doesn't watch hockey.

I forbid it. I dated a girl who was a Leafs fan for awhile but I had to kill her.

My father is a Bruins fan! Loved Phil Esposito even though he was hanger. Made for some boisterous family discussions in the 1970's!

All my family members who are hockey fans - four brothers and two sisters - are Hab fans.  I was born into it; had no say in the matter.


And I find that many nice people I know are also Hab fans.  Has anyone also noticed this?  I think it's more than just me; here's my theory:  I believe there are plenty of hockey fans who are anti-Hab because it's a Quebec team.  Most bigots are not Hab fans, and by inference, most open-minded, fair individuals are Hab fans.


What do you guys think of this theory?

That theory works for me! My family is pretty nice, but not hockey fans. I have a couple of Uncles who are casual fans, but I am the only one who bleeds the colours. I guess that is why I only really became a fan during the 89' play-offs.

I think you could develop a whole philosophy out of this theory.
