For those who wish to discuss other teams trading, here's where to do it. Will Toronto hold a firesale when they are out of the race? McCabe, Sundin on the move? Will anyone help Chicago rebuild? Anyone want a good goalie, there are plenty out there (for the right price)
My friend and I discussed Biron the other day and we agreed that Edmonton might be a suitable team for him. As I understand, they could really use a solid #1 goalie.
Where is Biron going to go, if he's moved? That's something i'm wondering.
Aren't the Canucks still looking for a goalie? I think he would fit in, low salary (2.1 mil for the season), can go back to being a back-up, when Cloutier returns. And the Canucks have lots to offer.

I would have said Vancouver, but look at the way Auld is playing. Do you really think they are in desperate need of a goalie? Seems to me Auld has been holding the fort nicely.

You know, it's been 2 frickin weeks since we have seen NHL hockey, I don't think I remember anything about anyone these days.

I'm also wondering what Buffalo would be looking for in return, because for the first time in a while, the Sabres would be trading from a position of power.

Yup, I have also heard Joseph to Edmonton. St. Louis and Chicago will also be doing some heavy dealing. Jokinen is probably also out of town since he isn't signing. I think Phoenix might have a few pieces to deal... I would love to grab Derek Morris who will be a free agent this summer.

Since this thread I have been paying a little bit of attention to Auld and the Canucks. They are winning (6-4 in last ten), but it isn't because of their goaltending. The Canucks are scoring goals. In Auld's last 12 games, he has won 7 lost 6. In those 7 wins, he let in 4 goals 3 times. Over the span of those 13 games , his GAA is a little over 3.00. I tseems one night het lets in a pile of goals (6 to Columbus) and the next, he is a brick wall against a very good team (1 goal against Calgary twice and 2 against Detroit). He doesn't seem very consistent. And in the playoffs, you can only go as far as your goalie will take you.

Anyone think that the Blues Tkachuk and Scott Young will be traded?
I think someone will actually pick up Tkachuk while Blues eat part of his wage. He's starting to look like pre-lockout Tkachuk. Now 26 points in 17 games played.

I think Tkachuk is a pretty hefty ticket - 7.5 or 7.6. How long is his contract for? Even if the Blues ate some of his contract, I think they would have to take a large contract back.

Biron was showcased in a big way last night against the Bruins, 40 saves was it?

Yes, and it's looking more and more like they really do want to move him. I still really think Edmonton would benefit greatly from it. The latest rumors for Edmonton though are Cujo, but that seems too predictable. I really think moving Biron there would make much more sense.
