Trade deadline & Saku

I think we should take a run at Roloson from Minny.  He can split duty with Huet (start the guy with the hot hand), and both goalies are capable of going on "hot streaks".  With the condensed schedule from now until the end of the year, Huet is going to need a rest.  No offense to Yann Danis, but he's raw at the NHL level (this is playoffs were talking about - every game from here on out is essentially a playoff game) and Danis needs to be playing every night for his own development.

Roloson is probably the cheapest of the goalies that are available (Biron, Giguere etc.).

It makes complete and total sense to give Koivu the night off tonight.  He just played 8 games in 12 days (blame the NHL Owners for that - which includes George Gillette), plus with the time change, jet lag and the emotional rollercoaster he's been through with Team Finland, it makes sense to tell #11 to enjoy the day off, catch up on some sleep.  I'd much rather have him miss 1 game, and have him at 100% for the rest of the road trip, then have him at 60-70% for a week-10 days until he catches up on some rest.

For those of you who want him to "suck it up" and play - Saku is the wrong guy to be saying this to.  Saku above anybody else in the enitre NHL knows what his body is capable and not capable of.

Agree with teh Saks part of the post. A smuch as I would love to see him play tonite to set some of these lazy guys staright, I trust his judgement. But on the Roloson side, he will not be cheap and we alreayd have one overpriced goalie coming back in 4 weeks. What then?
