Hey Barry, why is it that you always pick apart Kovalev? Does he not have more assist than goals this year? He is not leading our team in shots, and does pass the puck, my goodness even after the win in Buffalo you didnt have anything good to say about him. My god, just suck it up.

Come on. Kovy hogs the puck more than anyone else on the team. It's a beautiful thing when he succeeds in deeking out the entire opposing team. But for the 4 out of 5 times that it doesn't produce anything positive, it's frustrating.

I understand that it's his style. But that being said, don't critisize other players for doing exactly what you do on a consistent basis.

I am hard on him because he peeves me off. This guy has SO much talent. Yet he turns it on and off at will. I see Koivu out there nigfht after night (for the most part) trying his best and he has half the talent that Kovalev has. I am sorry. But you want the big bucks you best be ready to perform. rwp2le I am not sure what you do for a living but I am head of sales and marketing for a company. If I go to my boss and say "I think I am worth alot more money then you are paying me and you best give me a raise or I am going to another team", I better be ready to back it up. The bar has been raised. Your boss would expect the same of you. maybe it is not fair to gauge a guy's value in the NHL by the size of his contract. But under the new cap system this will be more commmon place.
