After seeing the way Saku and Teemu are playing in the Olympics, BG should trade for Teemu. What do you think it will cost for getting Selanne in a Habs uniform?

Problem is, there is no prove that Teemu would play with that same intensity! Remember playing for their country is very important!

They tried to get him. He did not want to play in Montreal. Too cold among other things.

Ya odd. But hey we are canucks...tell me if a big accoaunting firm or something offered you equal pay to either work in montreal or say Anehiem...where would you go?

I take it you saw hockeytraderumors.com
lol, anyways, Habs did try to aqquire him, but didn't work. He could still be traded if the price is right for the Ducks. However just because 2 people have success on one team, does not mean the same on another team. They are successful because they are part of a line that has 3 players, 2 defencemen. No 2 guys can carry a team, the whole unit must be in sync.

Without a doubt, I would opt for Montréal. My godfather is living in L.A., and I think it's a horrible place to live. And ... as a player ... I would go to the place where the athmosphere is thrilling. Anaheim ... well ... I think in a church there is more athmosphere ...

Best proof of that quote would be Kariya and Selanne in Colorado...we all saw how that turned out...

Again with this Selanne guy. Everyone know's he wants to play on a "Warm weather team". Isn't anyone else tired of trading for a player and crossing your fingers hoping he won't need too much motivation to give an effort every game? If you trade for Salami, that's exactly what you'll be getting, a question mark. Sorry if I'm being a little cruel...

What does that have to do with what I wrote Jay? The point is that AT THIS STAGE IN HIS CAREER he wants to play on a warm weather team. So many of these players that had success early in their career now have that Hollywood mentality. Whatever...bottom line if you're a real Habs fan, you don't want a Selanne on the team. With Ribs, Kovalev, and you add a Selanne...the Habs would have to build a daycare center next to the dressing room.

Just the fact that this guy "wants to play for a team where it is warm", shows exactly what he brings to the table...an empty plate. Give me a huge and colossal break. Yes lets do that. Lets ask Koivu and Kovalev who they WANT to play with. I mean Gainey may have to trade Markov, Souray, Huet, Bulis, Higgins and maybe even Rivet (no, cant do that..Rivet and Koivu are buddies), but our two stars will get who they want to play with and kick it up a notch.

Wow, relax. I was simply stating where he played his best
No brainer, trade for him. He signed a 1 year 1 million dollar deal with Anaheim because of his wife. He will help us get into the playoffs and who knows from there. He may leave after this year but it should be worth it. Question is, will they take a guy like Zednik for him, is it too much to give up for a rental player?

Thought you didn't believe that he wants to play on a warm weather team since he started his career in the Peg. (the coldest of cities). I kind of understand now, what you were trying to say.
