Some time ago we speculated that if BG could/should sing Olli Jokinen from free agent markets or trade him before deadline. Here is little foretaste what it takes to trade him or sing from free agent markets, I said that BG donīt have that much money that is needed to sing OJ and Habs donīt have suitable guys if BG is thinking trading him to Habs. I still think so, because I donīt see trade happening with Ribs+ 1st round pick or Pleks+ 1st rounder

Olli Jokinen is the marquee name on the market, a big Blue could change that on a whim though, and if the Leafs are going to get value in return, Tucker might be the one to go. AROUND THE RINKS
- The National Post notes that, should the Ottawa Senators still have plans to acquire Panthers C Olli Jokinen, then they will likely have to surrender a young player off their roster along with a high draft pick. Does that sound like Antoine Vermette and a first-round pick? Calgary has also been mentioned as a potential suitor for Jokinen. Would Matthew Lombardi and a number one pick be enough? Jokinen has turned down a four-year, $16-million offer from the Panthers and, in light of the three-year, $14-million-plus contract signed by Saku Koivu, Jokinen can expect more than that on the open market.
