I would LOVE to see the Swiss beat Sweden today and to be honest, Swedish Coach "Bonehead Gustafson" has given them ample motivation. He went to the media before their game against Slovakia and said that it may be better for them to lose to Slovakia because Switzerland would be an easier opponent. That may be true "Bent" (as in Bent his head during too many NHL games) but Duhhhhhhhhh..to say that for the Swiss to feed on? Apparently "Bent" was last in line when God was passing out common sense. It is quite apparent to me that the Swedes did indeed throw the game yesterday. Oh don't get me wrong..they were smart enough to do it in a subtle way. They did dress Forsberg who is hurting...but that was mere "window dressing". They managed a grand total of 17 shots on the Slovaks and looked much like te Habs have much of the year...indifferent. You cannot tell me that if this game was for a medal that the Swedes only manage 17 shots on the Slovaks?!?? PUUUUUHLLLLLLEAASE.

Now my battle cry is ABS..."ANYONE BUT SWEDEN".  Can you imagine ANY Canadian team throwing a game, no matter WHAT the circumstances?!?? No. Why? Because we have class and pride.

So now Sweden has their wish...they get to play the swiss. Remember the old saying.."Be careful what you wish for"?  Go Swiss Go!! ABS!!!!

... even the Slovaks were surprised .... 'the Swedes were passing the puck around instead of shooting' ...

Bengt-Ake Gustafsson in the Swedish radio before the games vs. Slovakia ... "the Swiss are by furthest the weakest team left in the tournament! It might be wise to loose the game vs. Slovakia!" Well, that's everything the Swiss team needed, they can show this afternoon how weak they are. Still, should the Swedes win today, I honestly wish them the 4th place in the tournament! By the way, Gustafsson coached Langnau (weakest team in Swiss first division) and was fired there. Now it's like he needs revenge ....

How about Sweden and upsets??? How was that in Salt Lake City .... I think the oponent was Belarus ... and the result??? 3-4 .....

Finnish media awarded this game(Sweden vs Slovakia) a nice title, biggest farce in history of olympic hockey

Yeah, I truly hope that Swiss team kicks some Sweden A$$ in their game. GO SWISS GO

unfortunately 1-3 .... What a mess! Of course, I have expected it's gonna be difficult, but the Swedes have the luck that Canada was missing on Saturday. At least Mark Streit scored for our team! Hey, Mark, go back to Montréal and do it your way!!!! Go Mark Go, Go Habs Go!!!! Hopp Suisse!!!!!!

well .... 1-5 ... after two periods ... no excuses ... the Swedes are simply one class better ... BUT no need to be disappointed, the Swiss team made a lot of progress the past few years, so they're clearly the 8th best team in the world, not bad for a small country like Switzerland.

Not bad at all, we are both here to represent little countries. We should be proud that our hockey players can fight against these big bullys like USA and Canada

well, there's still a huge difference between the likes of Switzerland and Finland. Btw. on my Swiss team Kloten, two Finns play (Kimmo Rintanen & Lasse Pirjetä; Kimmo is a great guy, sad enough he isn't playing at the Olympics).

Yes, difference on playing level, but I meant size of the countries. Kimmo is born same city as I am (Rauma) and played here in Lukko for many years. And then there is Janne Niskala who is from here also, playing for Zug (sp) I think.

Great, do you have some more good guys who could help our struggling team? Kloten is currently 10th, fighting for playoffs ... and there are only 3 games in regular season to go (they are 1 point behind 8th place seeded team). Yes, I have seen Janne Niskala playing. He's a quiet calm solid defense guy.

Pasi Saarela plays there too and he is from here too, don´t know what that team is Bern maybe. Niskala has good legs and soft hands(like Petteri Nummelin), but sometimes he gets carried away.

Sorry, Power, never heard of Pasi Saarela playing in Switzerland. Did he ever play, or is he's on the bench? There are 21 Finns playing in the Swiss First Division, but not Saarela.
