I know this is not hockey related, but I felt the need to post it. A year and a half ago a very good friend had complained about constant headaches. After numerous visits to Falmouth Hospital and her own doctor, It was found that even though she was sent home with a prescription and told it was just migranes, all the time she was bleeding from the brain. By the time they found the mistake it was too late. Now her husband (58 years old) started having headaches. A few visits later he was finally admitted to Cape Cod Hospital. Two days later he died (bleeding in the brain) He was a very good friend and I will miss him. I know he died of a broken heart. He was married to his wife Karen for over 35 years. They owned a Flower shop together. Now another firend was diagnosed with cancer. She passed away this week. A few weeks before she died, her young daughter was also diagnosed.  This is not meant to depress anyone but if that happens it would be normal.

I look around the world and see the Floods, Earthquakes, Fires, Avian Flu spreading, Tsunamis, Unprecedented weather everywhere ,violence in the Middle East. I guess I am posting this because I worry about my family all the time. And since I consider all of you family as well, Take care of yourselves and enjoy everyday you have together with family and friends. I feel like I have met most of you already. I just felt the need to post this. Sorry , and I am not losing my mind but I think I have found it. So if you are North of the border in Vancouver or on PEI or south of the border on Cape Cod or in Florida God Bless and Take care of yourself

David, thanks for sharing that! Sorry to hear about this sad news! I think in these circumstances, it's quite normal to place yourself in their shoes and think that it could happen to your family! Just have to stay positive and keep a normal perspective on things! Of course it helps to share this news with family!

I think I can speak for everyone that we are honoured you consider us family!

David, you obviously have a big heart, and Windy is lucky to have you as a Dad.

Keep on posting, my friend!
