jeanthehabtiste- The game I watched was Leafs/Rangers (I do not have RDS) and then listened to The Leaf post game show on the radio and get my best entertainment of the week listening to whining Laffs fans & announcers making up excuses for two weekend losses to The Rangers - lack of penalty calls/why no Belak?/O'Neil is no good now/Quinn bitching/possible trades/no Klee/Lindros etc etc and on & on.......
Me too. I don't have RDS either. I listen to the Habs games on CJAD online and watch whatever hockey is on cable where I live.On Saturday nights the game is on the feed out of Ottawa(?) so I watch it in French. That's cool, I'm trying to learn more than the limited word I know anyway.
The Leafs are in serious trouble now! Did you see Tucker cryin when he got that penalty last night?
There's just something about Darcy that I.........

Nice handle, Jean!

I hear ya. Is it me or is Brian Williams really annoying with his commentary and recaps of the days events?
Actually, I don't mind him (maybe because I don't watch much..............). He's been doing it for so long! And I find he does sound professional, sort of in a Lloyd Robertson sort of way (or for David B, Peter Mansbridge).

Habs 93, by looking at your profile you live in Oakville isn't there a pub nearby that has the centrer ice package. you could catch the game there. Try Jack Astors they usually have the packages, well at least the one in Barrie does. If not you can order RDS on Rogers if that is your company you deal with. The only thing with ordering the RDS off of Rogers it costs 7 or 8 bucks a month because you have to get it with a package. It sucks as I never listen to the other channels but i get all my Habs games. I cancel the package after the season and then re-order it when the season starts. I love living in Laff country when the leafs lose!

The Toronto announcers tend to baby the Leaf losses. It's all about makin' the fans feel better.
I just don't get that Maple Leaf Entertainment attitude.
The Rangers were destroying them last night and Harry goes something like "...the Leafs have had some big chances, and the score should probably be alot closer than it is here in the second period (4-0 Rangers).(?) What?? I saw two chances...open net shots missed! AND I MEAN OPEN!
Harry, call it like it is. Jagr owned em' for two nights. The Leafs are simply dismantled. The engine has stalled and the keys are locked in the truck.
...and I'm shocked that Allison got one last night. What a plug.
Ray - You're right I live in Oakville right in the heart of Leaf Country - I'v gone to a few establishments trying to see a Habs game but if there is a Leafs & Habs game on at the same time on a Saturday Night - It's no contest Leafs all the time so the only games I watch at a bar are usually Leafs/Habs on a Saturday and I don't usually go out during the week to watch a game so I rely on SRC on Saturdays as well as the occasional TSN game which unfortuately usually has Glen Healy doing colour. Maybe next year I will look into RDS as it seems a reasonable price only $7 or $8 as I've heard maybe SRC might not be carrying Hab games next year on saturdays as the contract with RDS is coming to an end although I am not 100% sure about that.......
