So let me get this staight

It doesn't matter what the pinheads think. BG who knows more about hockey than any of us has just signed the captain to a 3yr extension. He was the ultimate leader and sees that in Saku. Certain people were saying, BG sees what's going on in the dressing room and on the ice and will take care of things, what are they saying now?

This signing shows who is the leader for the Habs for years to come and if certain fans don't like it, I suggest they move on to another team, a la Leafs.

Clique(s)..plural? I think there was one clique...so when you have one clique of idiots, by definition have a second "clique" of normals.

I figure when CJ asked Kovalev what he should do and Kovalev responded "your the coach you figure it out"( something like that). Kovalev essentially meant that CJ should bench Ribeiro, Dags, Begin and Theo... I figure the team was sick and tired of listening to those clowns and wanted CJ to set the record straight. He never did.

Of course just my opinion.

Time will tell my friend I trust that gainey is in a bit better position to make those calls then I am. I just have a hard time swallowing a player wearing an A with the consistent "effort" that he has shown. All I am asking for is the captains, whomevere they are, to demand ACCOUNTABILITY and to STOP PASSING THE BUCK! Is that too much to ask?!?? lol. No more "it is the coach's fault" No more "It was a full moon last night and I could not perform because I was growing my wolf hair". No more " We can't get along because we do not like the same things as the other guys do".

Lead by example..and take some damn responsibility when you are playing poorly and own up to it. Then, and ONLY then, will this team improve. Am I asking too much?!??? Have you ever heard Kovalev ONCE say "I have been playing horrible and I need to step up"? Uhmmm no. You see, THAT is what the kids will follow. Higgins will look and say "Geesh Alex is admitting he can be better..I need to step it up a bit". But as long as you have guys wearing an A who do not demand accountability of themselves you will have a team in disarray. By the way. fo rth e guy who said "ya well Kovalev wears the "K" for Russia" that is right up there with being named to the senate.

Muller, I have one tiny disagreement with you (a first in a long time) - that is, Begin does not belong on that list with RIbeiro, Dagenais and Theo. They are underachieving slackers. He is an overachiever who throws it all out there every night, in my opinion. He's one of my favourites.

Thanks Nilsey. I have chastised Begin for bad penalties..but many on the habs are guilty of that. The bottom line with me is that Begin brings it EVERY night. Like the Cube. Kovalev..evry 6th night. Who do you want to be your leader?

I'd take the Cube as captain any day. I like what he brings to the table every night. I have no idea what he's like in the dressing room, in practices, or on the bench, but I sure like his "give it all" style on the ice. He inspires.

Yes I agree. I like Begin a lot. Koivu-like in that he drives er' every night. I just lumped him into that group becuase I suspect he was part of the Ribeiro clique( becuase he fought with Kovalev). Love Begin for his on ice performance though...Question his choice of playmates that's all.
