Hey AB. Just be honest. What exactly do you have against Koivu? Just admit it.

You know who you remind me of at times? Remember shortly after Koivu came back from stomach cancer and the crowd at the Bell center praised him with a standing O, he had an altercation with Ribeiro at practice? The next game a portion of the crowd "booed" Koivu and Ribs (the fairy) got nothing. You remind me of that. You have a "what have you done for me lately" attitude. A player is in a funk, you totally disregard what they did in the past.

How about Ribs, he was in funk until 10 days ago, now you praise him and that's fine. However, Koivu gets the heat for being off his game? Are you a Habs fan, or a trouble maker who like to start fires. Well, I'll be the fireman from now on.

P.S. It might not seem like it but I do respect your views but I disagree on the way always rag on Saks. Just look at the new topics you posted on the board. Both are about him. You secretly in love with him or something or is it an envy thing? In any case, it's all good!

A lot of us seem to have that "What have you done for us lately" attititude. I seem to remember Theo being the next Patrick Roy not that long ago, now he's trade bait for a bag of pucks.

The next game a portion of the crowd "booed" Koivu and Ribs (the fairy) got nothing. You remind me of those losers. You have a "what have you done for me lately" attitude. Keylime..I say welcome to the NHL. You get paid millions of dollars to peform, it is irrelevant what you did 2 years ago, or, at times, last month. Just ask any coach who wins a Stanley Cup for a team and then a year or 2 later gets canned. That is the reality and brutality of pro sports. If a player, whoever he is, wants to be able to bask in the glory when he is doing well, then conversely, he needs to be able to take the heat when he is underperforming. Is it fair? No. But I guess if you do not like it you can leave the 4.5 mill a season behind and come work in an office with the rest of us.

In fact, I will go as far as to say that even in the non-sports world, the "what have you done for me lately" mentality exists (right Nilsey?). In my job, I can be on top of the world this year because sales are going well. Next year (and maybe due to circumstances I cannot control), I could be a total bum in the company.

You may be partly right, but I think you need to strike a balance between fear/what-have-you-done-for-me-lately and gratitude/loyalty to make a real team.
Anyway...just because it's the way things are doesn't mean we have to like it.

Thanks for thinking of me, barry, but you should all know that (1) I walked away from my job due to ethical differences with the Board of Directors, (2) my performance was always very high - I received a bonus just a few weeks before I quit, and (3) when our CEO was fired last spring, I was the one they promoted to the interim position

I wouldn't want anyone to think I'm unemployed because of performance issues.  It was a matter of ethics.............or lack thereof by some.

It's funny, when I was an underwear model, I was featured twice on the cover of "Total Bum" magazine...

Unfortunatley, a freak knitting accident rendered all remaining copies unreadable, so please don't ask for the pics....

Saku is the man and is gonna be a Hab 4 Life! The Habs are a class act organization for the way they handle things and I'm happy the way it's turned out. Think And-o and AB might be absent cause they are starting to cheer for the Leafs???

Saku was a star of the Toronto game scoring the winning goal in OT - AB if you made a comment I'm still looking for it (If you did make one could you repeat it) at least Ando had something to say......

If you're saying that I didn't care about Saks potentially dying of cancer then you're totally talking trash and attacking my charactor! I won't tolerate it!

Sorry John. As a habs fan I will worry about how much cap money we are tying up in long term contracts. My worry about Koivu is health, not performance. In the meantime we have another 5 million dollars of precious cap space tied up with a guy with hair problems opening the door to the bench. 2.5 million more tied up with the KNOB that no one will ever want, and another 5 or so tied up with Kovalev who plays when it suits him. I am not bitter. Justr a concerened fan as all of us are.

Cap will go up next year, don't worry. Also if Sak does get injured like all you seem to be looking for, it won't count against the cap.

What are you speaking of AB? Reread what I wrote. "If I'm saying..." Well, I didn't say anything about you not caring about Saks illness. I was making a point that you seem to question him frequently. He has an "off" sequence of games and you jump on him like a panther stalking prey. I just would like the why. In any case, get used to seeing him for another 3 seasons. He demanded a no trade clause. That rocks!

...and AB did you get the on-ice interview on RDS before the game tonight? He was asked about the no-trade clause and he responded that he wanted to end his career here and win a cup in 2-3 years with the Habs. Whether it's possible to achieve or not, that's what I want my captain to be thinking of.

Lastly, you don't have to tolerate anything. I won't question your views anymore      because you take one phrase and you twist the meaning around. I won't tolerate that. It's all good

I think we are all die hard habs fans here, and we live in the moment.  It is easy to forget what a player has done in the past, but on the other end of that spectrum, should we bring Stephan Richer out of retirement?  He did score 50 goals in the past.  The best thing about all of this, is it just proves how great we all are as fans of the most storied franchise in sports history.  We bash all of our players, and some times each other, but at the end of the day I would still buy any single one of you a beer.  The CH lives in our hearts.  And I am sure you are all like me, win or lose you wear your blu, blache et rouge with pride every time you get the chance.  So lets all remember that we are all on the same team, and when we fight in here it is just like when you fight with your brother or sister.  It is all trivial because we have one thing in common.  And undying love for our hockey team.  Lets go Habs.
