Zednik has been a lost soul ALL season, we dont need anymore floating forwards right now, at least sunny does the job hes suppose to, Zednik turns the puck over...we dont need that when we're playing Kovalchuk!

Zednik is having an awful season, but at least he has the potential to breakout. As for Sundstrom, why is he on this team? Exactly what does he contribute? He does not score goals, block shots, not an aggressive forechecker etc etc. Someone needs to reach Zednik and get him going again. Can still remember his unbelievable play in the playoffs against the Bruins from a couple of seasons ago, until Hatcher tried to decapitate him.

Hatcher tried to decapitate Zednik in the playoffs a couple seasons ago?? I think your mistaken with someone because only until this offseason has hatcher come to the eastern conference, and the farthest our team made it in the playoffs were the semis, making it impossible to have Zednik even smell Hatcher in the playoffs. I believe the hit your thinking off is the clothesline handed out by Kyle Mclearen.

As for sundstrom he has been doing much more than Zednik has of late, which is exactly why he is playing. Sundstrom isnt payed to score goals, or make nice plays, or hit people...hes paid to keep the other teams top guys from scoring and kill off penalties, and im sorry but i think hes been doing a good job, and the fact that no one is noticing him means he isnt doing anything wrong to make us notice him.

You are correct I mistook Hatcher for Mclaren. And yes I suppose Sundstrom is not paid to score goals but to neutralize the opposition scorers. Nonetheless on a team that is as offensively challenged as the Habs are on many a night, I think we need a player who is capable of scoring in the lineup rather than yet another checker. The team is loaded with guys that can fill that role. Personally I would rather Zednik in even if he is having a lousy season than Sundstrom.

Well put, Johab. Sundstrom is your basic no nonsense defensive winger who plays smart. Zednik is a liability when he provides no offense and hogs the puck.
