Wow! Isn't it fun seeing the same Eastern Conference teams game after game? Their goal was to start rivalries. Ok, until a certain point. Right now, the Habs play in a 15 team league and not a 30 team league until the end of the season.
I would prefer if the NHL had only 20 teams anyways but the fact that there is 30. I don't get to see the players that I love from the Western Conference.
In addition, have you noticed that the Habs first 6 games, upon their return from the Olympic break, 5 of those games are on the road? It doesn't get easier for them. It's gonna be a dog fight.

We talked about this before you joined us, Key. I, myself, hate the unbalanced schedule. I'm tired of seeing Buffalo, Boston, even Totronto and Ottawa. I'd love to see LA, San Jose, Anaheim, Edmonton, Calgary...............

We won't play an away game in YYC for another 2-3 years...it's hard to digest. Do you think "Scheduling" will be or was on the agenda for the G.M. meetings?
They should take into consideration that the leaugue can potentially lose money by keeping the same sked philosophy. Fans may not want to spend x amount to see the same teams over and over.

I'm praying that they fix this schedule mess, but say they did. Would they have to make it up to the teams who never got to play certain divisions this year?
