There was one key point in the game last night that showed me the difference between Montreal and Buffalo. Montreal scores the tying goal with 3 minutes left in the game with the Ribieoro/Kovalev line. Gainey., figuring he should have the momentum, goes with the hot hand and puts that line right back out to go for the throat. But,instead of folding, Buffalo proceeds to turn it up 3 notches and totally hems the Habs in their own end for the next minute. That, my friends, is why Buffalo is where they are in the standings. Character and a "refuse to lose" attitude. Look for the Sabres to provide some upsets in the playoffs. If I am Ottawa or Carolina I want to stay away from them as long as possible.

On another note..what is going on with our penalty kill? Geesh we have 3 former Selke Trophy winners at the helm..one thing we SHOULD be doing is killing penalties (we are now 24th). Hopefully when these guys get more of a chance (it is still early) to work with the team it will begin to rub off. And GUY,,teach some of thes guys how to win a draw!!!!
