Just watched a little classic hockey! Man, we had great team chemistry in 93! A Cup win by committee rather than with super stars! Denis Savard didn't play as he was our closest thing to superstar status! LeClair, Muller and Bellows were huge with their forecheck! Dionne, Deipetro and Leeman had great wheels! Carb and Keane were great defensively! Damphousse was skilled! Our D were very mobile other than Lyle Odelyne. Then of course, good luck beating Roy! It wasn't fluke that we won the Cup then, but great team chemistry! So much balance on every line!
The only thing that resembles that now is we have no superstars
Actually I lost my train of thought! What I wanted to say is how the hell could the Habs give up on young LeClair especially after that playoff performance! He was just as important as Roy with many timely goals and great force in the offensive zone! Remember all the huge OT goals?
That has to go down as the worst trade ever in Habland!
I have the entire playoffs on tape. I loved the part when we were down and demers challenged the stick. When we scored with under a minute left the place went wild I want to see those times again

That was one of the most exciting game I ever seen! I should throw Dejardins in there as "stupid to trade" after that great playoff he had!
Also, the speed of Depeitro, Dionne and Leeman was fun to watch!
