When Roger Neilson took the Vancouver Canucks to the finals in 1982 who was their captain?


A.Stan Smyl
B.Kevin McCarthy
C.Harold Snepts

Didn't Smyl take over as captain when Neilson took over?  I'll go with Snepts.

Yup, that was me too. I also had to ask who John Kordic was once...umm...im sure a few more... Earliest habs memory of players that i remember watching were Damphosse/ Recchi/ Thibault/ Moog/ Darby/ Poulin/ Lind/ Ulanov/ Robidas/ Brunet/ ..koivu.../ yup...those were the days haha

I believe it was Kevin McCarthy.  I think Stan Smyl took over the following season.

.......and the answer is;


Kevin McCarthy was the Canuck captain at that time although I bet most of you guessed Stan Smyl. McCarthy had taken over for Don Lever during the 1978/79 season and remained Captain until the end of the playoff run in 1982. Smyl became Vancouver's captain after that and held the position for eight years.
