There's something about Erik Cole and the Habs. He kills them every game. Yet he has quite ordinary stats overall (link below). Seems like he thrives on feasting on the Habs, but does very little anywhere else. There have been a few puzzling Hab-killers over the years - guys who were otherwise ordinary (so I'm not talking about John Leclair) but always played well against the Habs. To name a few: Dale Hunter of the Nordiques, Jason Dawe of Buffalo, Scott Young of Colorado, Sergei Samsonov of Boston.
As for Cole, I have drooled over him every time I see him play against the Habs, but his stats are no great shakes overall. I know if we ever acquired him, we'd be disappointed. ::

Certainly helps when your goalie looks like this:

Nilsy, I totally agree about Cole. I was thinking the same thing last night watching him bury his garbage goal to complete the hat trick. I think this goes back to his rookie year when they swept the Habs in the 2nd Round, en route to the cup.

Yes, that's when I first noticed him too. He was a powerhouse in that series, and I thought he was destined for superstardom. He's having the best year of his career this year, but it's the first time he's cracked 50 points. Go figure..........
