 Jim Johnson I think!

 I heard Wendel Clarke was gay! Is this just a stupid rumour or does anyone here know? Not that it matters much, it's just that I can't see it!

......and the answer is;

Jim Johnson, Pittsburgh Penguins, in his sixth game. 1985. Leaf were playing a home and home on a Wednesday and a Thursday night, fought Troy Loney in game two of the set, beat both guys, had the memorable fight with Behn Wilson on November 16th of that year.
