Has everyone forgotten that when the Peanut was G.M. and Mario Tremblay was the coach, that short period of time totally ruined the franchise for years to come. We are feeling the affects now. GAINEY INHERITED A BROKEN TEAM. Why do we disregard that. It's the core reason to the team's insuccess.
The franchise needs to involve ex players to instill pride in these guys and at the same time "take no prisoners". What I mean is there is absolutely no reason for a player to take a night off if they want to wear the CH.
Lastly, I've been a Habs fan since I was a child and it never even ed my mind to abandon them. Now you feel frusrated at the way it's been going but...when things are tough is exactly when they need our support.
We live in the hockey Mecca, the borderline fans and a large part of the media are just on a road to ruining that because they are blinded by frustration.
P.S. Since Gainey/Carbo took over the team was 3 wins and 4 losses. After tonight they could end up .500 since taking over the team....and all 8 teams were elite teams. Not bad. They losses were just ridiculous, I agree, the focus is to make a playoff spot and they can still do it.
They will lose tonight and so on until major moves are made. We and BG blaimed CJ so he got rid of him. (sorry to re hash that). Now its the same old thing so now BG can see it was not the coach that should have been sent packing
The point I was trying to make is the draft picks that were made pre-Gainey were horrible and the downfall of the Habs started when Tremblay and Peanut disgraced Patrick Roy and sent him packing. It's the 10 year curse that was started by a beer salesman and a control addict.
