Everyone here knows what it would mean for any of us to play in the NHL. But to play for the Montreal Canadiens and show that kind of effort????The greatest franchise in ANY SPORT!!!! Last night was THEE first night where i said to myself " why am i watching this??" I am a die hard hab fan since 1984 and that was single handedly the worst effort given by any professional Team ever! Embarrasing, disrespectful, prideless and the worst of all, it just looks lie they dont care!!!! Here is hoping for a big turn around starting saturday.
Defencsively they were pretty good keeping the sens to 3 goals.
offencively they had some jump, but with 7 penalties ,and Souray doing his best Jeckal and Hyde impersonation kinda tells the team these guys ,the sens, are way better then us.
We beat them twice, sure they were missing key players .
What did you want from the habs, back to back with two top teams.......?
They had a full sens compliment there and we missing some of our key guys.
Sens are just putting their game back together since getting their key players back.
I don't get ,do we think that because they wear the CH on their jersey they should atomaticly become great.
Next is toronto ,they are hungry ,they play crash hockey ,we are playing our game from defence out ,we will be rested ,we have smart people on ice as well as behind bench .
I want a win over them so bad it hurts ,we can they aren't the sens
Defensively they were pretty good? 40 shots? No. HUET was pretty good. I have never seen a score so flattering to a team in my life. Put it this way. In Philly they get 15 shots. Last night they get 12. That is 27 shots on goal in 2 games. I rest my case.

i ll disreguard your comments pucky since you seem to know about hockey what theodore Knows about making a glove save.
That was a low blow, Sak11!
Pucky's right about holdng the Sens to 3 goals, but with 40 shots against, it was total domination. His other points I agree with, so feel free to disregard me too.

Now imagine if the Habs had the same kind of maturity and unity that was displayed on this thread!
An opinion was raised, an emotional response followed, a third person defended the actions of the first, then a retraction of an unfair challenge and apology by the respondent .
Bottom line is OTTAWA IS THE BEST TEAM IN THE LEAGUE. The Habs are not even close to being as good as Ottawa. They were embarassing AGAIN last night. I don't know what it is going to take to let Huet have a go in the #1 spot for a while? The kid has done nothing but impress. I hope to one of the gods that we beat Toronto...I can absord a loss to anyone (even Pittsburgh), but T-dot is the absolute worst.
24, I totally agree, if you lose this one my anger will be at an all time high, the Laffs are due for a win and our boys have not heart ( as a team) I'm very worried and nothing is worse than losing to the Leafs!

Ray, I think we're all with you. I am usually the optomist among my crowd when it comes to les boys, but I have nothing positive to say.
Souray - what is going on buddy? Aside from a fight, there is much ado about nothing when it comes to you this season. Case in point - GM Place, big Bert skating in on you and your decision to not only back off but pretty much hand him the puck on a silver platter. Nice.
Kovy - yes, you tended to float with NY too, but for GOD'S SAKE, be the leader you can be and smack some of these boys around. You are, after all, known as an elite player in the league. When you want to, you make things happen. Please, please want to.
Koivu - dunno what to say here buddy. You have given us your all and the boys have failed you. I don't blame you for seemingly giving up.
Bulis - THANK YOU for a wonderful game (can we say four goals! way to go!) and an equally wonderful work ethic. Please keep working, 'cause if we lose any more work ethic from this team, this girl will be tempted to say "I give up too".
The Cube - see my message to Bulis.
Ryder - I feel your pain kiddo.
Markov - GET BETTER MAN, THIS IS KILLING US ALL!
Bonk - It's lucky that I was nowhere near the Habs bench in Vancouver, 'cause I would have very likely bonked you over the head with my very expensive beer cup.
Downey and Ivanans - you know your jobs. Happy to have you on board - now make sure you let the laffs know just how happy (we hope) you are to be here.
Sunny - no comment.
Zed - see Sunny. (and keep in mind, please, that no comment does NOT mean I have nothing bad to say, but I have vented enough for one post).
I don't know what else to say except;
THEO - WHAT IS HAPPENING? I know you've been streaky before, and nobody has supported you more than me (and Johab). But a Vezina and Hart goalie is NOT a fluke. Normie and I meet up at GM Place to watch the first live Habs game out here in more than 2 years, and you completely let us down buddy. Further, many more Habs fans have been let down recently in enemy arenas. Granted, the rest of the team is also to blame. You're out of position, out of the game, and out of focus. Further, out of my boyfriend books! (okay, for now anyway). SHOW US DA MONEY THEO! WE KNOW YOU CAN DO IT!
I never thought I would say it, much less think it. However, even the Habs haters I work with are starting to make a helluva lot of sense.
Has everyone forgotten that when the Peanut was G.M. and Mario Tremblay was the coach, that short period of time totally ruined the franchise for years to come. We are feeling the affects now. GAINEY INHERITED A BROKEN TEAM. Why do we disregard that. It's the core reason to the team's insuccess.
The franchise needs to involve ex players to instill pride in these guys and at the same time "take no prisoners". What I mean is there is absolutely no reason for a player to take a night off if they want to wear the CH.
Lastly, I've been a Habs fan since I was a child and it never even ed my mind to abandon them. Now you feel frusrated at the way it's been going but...when things are tough is exactly when they need our support.
We live in the hockey Mecca, the borderline fans and a large part of the media are just on a road to ruining that because they are blinded by frustration.
P.S. Since Gainey/Carbo took over the team was 3 wins and 4 losses. After tonight they could end up .500 since taking over the team....and all 8 teams were elite teams. Not bad. They losses were just ridiculous, I agree, the focus is to make a playoff spot and they can still do it.
A team without heart and someone to lead them are not worried about pride! They need someone to light a fire under them, to get them going, but who??????

Great rant, Habgirl! Let it all out! It's very therapeutic!
Also a great summary of the guys' performance to date. I agree with you 100%.
