Something fun as I take a break from a helluva day. If you were starting a Franchise and could pick any starting line-up, what would it be? Here is mine:
You don't lose face offs with Perreault, you have 2 fast and capable wingers, and have solid hitters to back you up on D, that are good passers. And then you have the top goalie to backstop you.
My serious one however would be: Ovechkin-Perreault-Heatly Boullion-Liles Brodeur You don't lose face offs with Perreault, you have 2 fast and capable wingers, and have solid hitters to back you up on D, that are good passers. And then you have the top goalie to backstop you.
With all the great centermen in the league, you pick Perreault???

Thats right, cause out all of the great centerman, there is this guy, who can win almost any faceoff and can go a long time without losing a faceoff. No point in having great players who cost 5 mil a piece if you can't get them the puck

I don't see why not? lol, I don't follow the train of thought that every player on the ice should be able to score 50+ goals a season. Every player is there for a reason
You have a talented playmaker/goal scorer in ovechkin, he can throw the body when needed. A true centerman who wins faceoffs 99% of the time who also has a solid pass IMO. Along with someone who has grit and desire to play 100% every game in Heatley and who can also put the puck in the net. With the D's, Boullion plays his heart out night in and night out, hits solid, rarely makes a bad play, and has speed. Liles has a good shot, great pass, hits like a rock. Brodeur...I don't need to list his creditials.
