I'm just curious to see who likes this kid...i've mentioned before that i do. He's a big boy, a big hitter, smart on the pk and i said i would replace him with Streit when were healthy on the blue line.  I'm not a huge fan of Streit, i think he takes stupid penalties, he's not aggressive or a big hitter, and for a guy with a "great" shot, he's never proven that either....i've seen Cote play many, many times. He was the Captain for the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles (my hometown) in the QMJHL.  I've always liked his style, and i tell ya i was pretty excited to see the habs pick him up in 2004.

A nice improvement to the blue line. one to keeep around big boy thats for sure and finishes his checks and man do we ever need that

he was great tonight every time the puck went in the corner he pinned the guy to the glass and the Habs headed back out of the zone. I love his work ethic and from what ive seen from him in Montreal and Hamilton hes going to be a Brendan Witt type player. WOn't get you tons of goals but every team will want him.

Hey Streit is the captain of the Swiss National team...he MUST be amazing?


I agree that Cote looks pretty good.

 I like Cote also! Big guy with good mobility! Prefer him over Komi!
