How about Gainey?

This guy is starting to scare me as a GM! Bulis brings it every night and can play in any positon or role! He's possibly top 20 players in the league with the most speed and he wants to trade him!!!!

Sure Arneson's size would help but lose someone else, not Bulis! He isn't hurting your wallet either!

This isn't just based on tonights game. Bulis works hard every game and has skill to go with it! He may be a streeky scorer but when not scoring, he makes up for it with great defensive play!

Trade Zed instead! This guy can't pass or see the ice! Trust me, we would miss Bulis over the one hand man any day!

Like we've all been saying to Theo this season......"Gainey open your eyes and get with the program"!

Mr. Patient almost made another blunder of a trade!

Apparently this was just a rumour and nothing else.  Lets get something substantial before we start criticizing BG.  Also, if we want to get a worthwhile player, we have to give up a good player or two.

Are you sure about the , just a rumour! It sounded like more than that!

Gainey shouldn't be imune from criticizing especially this season!

Again, why would you give up on Bulis who might not be at his prime yet! I would even trade Saks for Arneson at this stage but Chicago wouldn't want the soon to be free agent!

I understand its just a rumour but I have been wrong before!!!  I agree with you Bulis is a good player and comes to play every night.  I don't know how trades work but if there is truth to this, maybe Chi was demanding Bulis.  I can also agree there are a few other players that I would like to get rid of but they wouldn't bring much in return-definitely not Arneson.

The Bulis for Arnason trade was probably yet another inaccurate rumour. Unless Dale Tallon is the second coming of Mike Milbury, it is highly unlikely he would trade a player of Arnason's ability who is still young and has not come close to reaching his potential.

In his six games as coach Gainey has made some positive moves, he is giving Higgins and Plekanec more ice time and additional responsibilities. He has moved Riberio to the fourth line, which based on his performance this year, is about where he should be. Went with Huet in goal tonight, and hopefully will go back to him tommorrow night in Ottawa.

Gainey has shown that he does not have all the answers to cure this mess, but I do think over time he will correctly identify the underachievers  and slowly move them on.

I agree, I'm a little worried about this . . . it might not have been just a rumour.  Supposedly Bulis only got into the lineup when Souray was unable to go.  Why would Bulis be sitting in the first place, as he's the least of our problems.  I'd much rather see Zednik go instead of Bulis.  Time will tell . . .

Let me get this straight, Bulis is untradeable, but Saks for Arneson would be just fine?

It was ONE game folks. I love Bulis, but this game was from outer space, and if Koivu's not a number one centre, Bulis sure as heck isn't a number one winger, or even a number two.

Totally base it on the whole season with Bulis! He brings it every game and can play any forward position!

To clear up what I meant of Saks, rather than lose him after the season, why not try trading him for a potentially good young player like Arneson! But then no way would Chicago give up Arneson for a player they'll potentially lose also!

Look at it this way, why would Gainey first tell Bulis he's sitting then late afternoon tell him he's playing? It makes no sense to sit one of the most productive players this month unless Gainey really has lost it! I think he was truly considering trading him!

I hope Gainey tells Bulis that he might be sitting every game.

I like Bulis a lot. He's a great skater and works hard and brings a positive attitude. So I'm glad he wasn't traded, for sure.

There also must have been some reason he scored so many goals in Europe last winter. Maybe he's finding his shot?

I've been waiting to right this since after the game,  How dare they sit Bulis, the guy brings everything to the table and works his a#% off!  Why BG even thought about sitting this guy is beyond me.!  He  has been our highest scorer in January and comes to play every game and is one the quickest skaters in the League.  I've seen him play since he was a Barrie Colt, and  the guy flat out hustles and gives it everything hes got!  Even before the game when someone mentioned he was pine rider i was extremely pissed off!!  Then during the game I heard the annoucers on TSN say that a trade might be in the works, I keep hoping Bulis wouldn't be one of them.  If they're going to trade anyone, in my opnion it should be Zednik at the top of the list,  I've lost all hope for him going back to when I made I saw him play in Buffalo with his one hand on his stick trying to beat defensemen along the boards. What is he saving it for the Olympics?

Bulis and Plekanec on the same line with maybe Ryder is intriguing to me.  In final BG, don't sit Bulis there are about ten other guys he can sit!

Have to agree here about Zednik. If there is one guy that needs a wake-up benching or trade talk it's Zednik. What happened with him? He was a solid player for most of last year.
