Does Bob want them to start throwing punches tonight during the game or at today's practice?

General comments - I don't know how anyone can criticize Bulis or Koivu on effort - results, yes - effort, no way.

If we truly want a captain we can bitch about let's get Sundin!! I can't stand him.

Note: to poster who wants more North Americans a) Dandenault, Ribeiro, Theodore, Begin are Canadians and b) if everybody worked as hard as Bulis, Koivu and Streit we'd be doing o.k.

I loved Komisarek when he came up but he's turned into the biggest bust since Brent Bilodeau.

I don't think Komo can be called a bust yet, as he is still young and inexpereinced and he has had a traumatic year emotionally.  Also, he is a very large D-man and they always take longer to develop... just ask Chris Pronger.

Agreed that Dandenault, Theo and Riberio, all French Canadians, as I am, have been easily our three worst players.  I simply stated that our team has too many Euro's....almost tops in league and this makes for a team chemistry issue.  Look at Calgary......the majority of their players are from Western Canada.  Sutter is not stupid.  These players now have something in common(language and home) and most of them train together in the offseason too.  Whereas, with us it's a mosaic.  Look no further than the New York Rangers......Sather tweeked that lineup and it could now pass for team Czech.  My point is I don't care if they're all from Switerland....but team chemistry is what wins games and championships.  There is nothing resembling TEAM on the Habs.

When talking about effort, how can you say that Koviu, Bulis and Streit show more effort than Begin?  This guy has never said the word quit.  20 stiches in his face and he tried to come back, if all our players had half his heart we would be cup contenders.

My sentence structure was poor - I was addressing another post that I interpreted as excluding the Fancophones as North Americans - it wasn;t meant to list underachievers - I love Begin's work ethic.
