What about Shayne Corson?

He has been working out like crazy and is still in game shape.  He might not light the lamp, but man did he have heart.  Also, hes a great presence in the room. And Gainey and Carbonneau knows him well!

Bryan Skrudland is playing in the World Pond Hockey Championships this year in Plaster Rock NB. I am on a 4 man team there as well (ok..I am going for the free ). Maybe I can talk Bryan into coming back too?

I think the answer must come from a player that can not only energize the team but also lead and score (and preferrably stop pucks). Is that such a player? I like Corson, but I don't think it's worth it.

I saw Corson at the airport a week and a half ago, my friend asked him if he wanted to join the habs once again.

His response: "Not a chance in hell."

word for word of what he said, it ain't happening with Corson.

Thank God!  You guys are into something good if your imaginations are actually to the point of entertaining the return of that train wreck..................

Maybe we should start looking for PROFESSIONAL hockey players (i.e. guys who can make a living playing in the NHL).

I was gonna say.."has it come to this boys" Has our desperation level sunk to the level that we are actually thinking Corson would help us? Actually I will prbably see him in Plaster Rock this Fenruary too lol. Hey Nilsey, we need an alternate. Grab the blades and cmon up. You will probably get lots of ice time because the guys on my 4 man team are all way too friendly with the Captain.

Maybe I could be the team captain?  I heard about that Plaster Rock tournament.  It was on Hockey Day in Canada last year, wasn't it?

Let us know how you make out.................... if you remember!

Actually my team is all ex STU players. Our hope is to lose our first 3 games handily (in fact we PLAN on it lol) so that we can concentrate on the more imnportant aspect of the tournament..the beer gardens Saturday night. Hate to have to worry about those pesky playoffs Sunday morning
