I'd take it in a heartbeat, i think the reason why Luongo isn't having a great season is because he doesn't want to be in Florida. I think he would shine in a habs unifom, and getting a guy like Jay B. on the point would be better and younger then Rivet....i'd be pretty excited if this happened.

I'm surprized how they always tend to mention the same 2 people coming to MTL all the time, they never change up the players when concerning a FLA MTL trade.

That one would be a dream come true!!! I can't see Florida making that one - one of the best goalies in the league and a guy who will be one of the best defenseman; for an average d-man, an decent undersized centreman and an average goalie.

You realize that even if we get Luongo the fans and media won't let up and he will be chased out of town like every other good player we have had in the past 15 years. He has never played in the kind of pressure that Theo deals with every day in montreal. That trade wouldn't get us anywhere.

This may be one of the more realistic rumour posts though.
Luongo is gonna want 6+ money so FLA would save on Theo.
Keenan loooooves veteran/leadership players like Rivet and Koivu helps hedge their expected loss of Jokinen to free agency in the offseason. Boowmeister has been somewhat of a letdown for them and Keenan typically loses patience with the youngsters (see Kristian Huselius as perfect example).

I would do this deal in a snap. At this point, I would be willing to trade Theo+Bonk+Souray for a Habs tuque, a bag-o-pucks from Canadian Tire and a 6-pakof Labatt 50 ....

I think in the meantime you may have to change yoru name to "TheoWindow"
