Why the hell was Theo the third star?? I don't think he made in the way of one big save.
How long is Souray and Zednik out?
Kyle Chipchura has been a different player since the World Juniors. I stated on this board about two weeks ago that he was a wasted draft pick.......he has really picked up up his game and has made my comment look stupid.
Carbo looks like he can still play.
I still want to see Georges Larouque on our team. He'd own the town.
Somebody finally told our DMEN to shoot ....we were rewarded last night with 3 goals from the point. Go figure.
Bulis has been very impressive as of late. Keep it up!
Ron Hainsey got in two fights in the same game this week in Columbus. Call 911....he does have a heartbeat.
Higgins goal last night may have the nicest of the year to date.
I'm sad to see Julien go......but Carbo will bring more emotion and life to the bench. Did anyone see Gretz rally his troops last night in TO?? He even gave it to Tocchet...his ass't coach...for a poor line change. These premadonna athletes need to be held accountable......Carbo will do that.
Correct me if I'm wrong but has every home game been sold out?? Way to go Montreal....with the largest rink in the NHL....these extra dollars won't hurt. BUT then again they do pay the highest tax.
Georges Laraque's kid brother, Jules-Edy, a former captain of the Halifax Mooseheads, is still here in Halifax (he's a cop, like davidb!), so we could ship him up to Montreal. Problem is he's about 5'7" on skates - but could he ever motor!
Bulis is playing very well of late. The guy could always skate, but finally he has found the net, which is great to see. Last night the goals came from lesser-lights (Streit, Higgins, etc.) which was also good to see. Ryder can't be expected to score every night. I don't know when Zednik will be back, but he has not impressed me this year. Still, he and Bulis seem to have some chemistry, and I hope they stay together on a line for a while.
Goals from the point happen when the forwards are blocking the goalie's view, so that may be more of a reflection on the forwards than the defensemen. Actually, I like what I saw last night - the forwards playing well defensively (blocked shots by Murray, etc.), and the defensemen contributing to the offense.
And I agree with Barry that Streit has been very good lately. He may be the sleeper pick of the year.
And yes, Higgins' goal was a beut! The nicest by a Hab, perhaps, this year. (I still can't get that one by Spezza against the Habs out of my mind.)
