I understand the bitterness on the board about the firing of CJ an how it was not the right thing to do.  BG had no choice but to do this.  It sounds bad but our current players were not motivated or did not want to play for CJ.  Time will tell whether BG and Carbs are different and the players enjoy playing for them.  Who knows in a year or two - our players will go in a slump and not be motivatied again.

The media plays a big part and BG better  protect his close friend and the rest of the team going forward.  We are not going to win every night but we need to put a good effort forward and have the media back off if we lose a game.

Hey I am well aware that it is only a matter of time before a coach in any organization gets fired. It is a fact of life. However, I have lost a ton of respect for not only Bob Gainey, but at least 75% of the players now wearing that jersey. I have seen it happen in the past. Players and management hang a coach out to dry and, say whatever you want, that is exactly what happened here. I feel bad for CJ because I am sure he was sitting home last night watching some of these underachievers all of a sudden actually making an effort, and that has to feel bad. All I have to say to some of these "athletes" is shame..shame on evry one of you.

It is unfortunate that a lot of these players may have been looking at CJ as a friend and not a coach.  He may have gooten a little too close with some players and it showed in their play.  Hopefully he can bounce back.
