I of course am not a Ribs fan.

I am on record for saying he was not traded because his potential was greater than his trade value.

I am on record for saying he plays like a little boy who prefers dolls to trucks...

I am on record for saying that with Gainey and Carbo in charge, one of two things will happen. Either they will straighten Ribs out OR Ribero is traded for nothin just to say see ya.

Last night it looked like Ribero decieded to break out the Tonka trucks for a little whirl...Let's hope he likes them...

Well Barry33...

...Ribs cranked his play up several notches last night (FINALLY)...Bonk actually made a solid contribution as well...and Begin was forechecking quite well (WITHOUT taking dumb penalties)...so I guess that leaves the Finnish Prince (or is that the Finnished Prince???) who did absolutely diddly squat again last night (nice to see him elevate his play for a new coach's debut, eh???).

No way will Bob pony up a FAT contract for Saku....NO WAY!!!

...as a matter of fact, if Carbo/Bob can get both Ribs and Bonk producing more on a nightly basis - perhaps it will be Koivu who gets packaged up with a prospect for a guy like Mark Bell from Chicago or maybe even Scott Hartnell from Nashville!?!?!

What do you mean "diddly squat again"?  Koivu's play has been at a high level all year - a point a game pace - so it wasn't for him to elevate his play, it was for the underachievers - your hero Bonk the most prime example.

Yes, Bonk played a good game last night - maybe his second good game of the year.  It is he and others who got Barry's friend fired; a good performance last night was almost a slap in the face to him.  Why you love this guy and hate Koivu is simply beyond comprehension.

Ando. You are sometimes insightful. But your Koivu bias is just plain dumb really. I am biased about Ribero but at least my points are substantiated. Good lord Ando...don't be foolish.

Are you suggesting And-o and Ribeir-o might have something in common?  i.e. "light in the loafers" ..............

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

I'm thinking the same....Gainey can't keep a half time player that will want 4 mil a season! No way is he close to a point a game if he plays the whole season...He becomes totally non-productive when tired and can't sustain a whole season of consistant productivity!
