Let's give credit where it's due. Ribs produced with barely any ice time! A great deflection and a better pass to Bulis! I personally hope that this is a start of good things to come especially because he can't be traded! He had the most ice in the third because he finally earned it and was rewarded by BG!

Just as he is usually blamed for losses, let's give him and every player credit for the win! Credit that they can start earning tonight as they totally slept through the second quarter of the season!

Maybe Ribs produced & hopefully will keep producing now that the GM who makes the personnel decisions is coach and he realiizes there is no fooling around now - interesting Ribs-Markov-Theo (players named from time to time in the past having sub-par seasons or could/should play better) all had good games in Gainey's first gane behind the beach.......HM HM HM

AB, he did have a good game because he competed. All he has to do is put the effort in and we won't complain.

The problem is, he usually contributes when crunch time has passed (like last night) or disappears when we need some help.

If he keeps trying that's all we can ask for.

habs93- you hit the nail on the head. As I said in another post, the players know that the coaches do not run the show in the long run in the NHL. The GM's do. Now we have the GM behind the bench. It is a little bit like the guys in my office. Yes we listen to our Sales Manager and try and do what we need to do to keep our jobs. But we really cringe and start producing when the owner comes around because we know that he can fire our boss and we would be left working for him .
