...would it be "Jose Theodore" or "Joe Say The Open Door"???
Actually this was the discussion on the Team 990 today. But the consensus is that there i sno goaltending controversy. Even if Crystal Ball stands on his ear tonite, Julien is virtually forced to go right back to Theo Saturday night. Why you ask? Well if Gainey is trying to move Theo and his big contract his job will not be made any easier by having him not play. Of course the task becomes tougher if Theo DOES play and continues to struggle. On the other side of the fence, if Gainey has decided to stick with Theo, can you continue to sit your highest paid player on the bench and go with an unproven backup the rest of the year? (Forgetting ho wbad Gainey will look aftre having signed Theo to the big bucks and tying up a huge chunk of cap space for a guy who opens the bench door).Quite the quandry they find themselves in when you think of it.

I was thinking about that on the way home tonight actually. Gainey has a hard choice to make, and what if we trade theo, and something happens to Huet, or if he slows down and theo picks his game up in Colorado (which theo will do with whatever team he is traded to), then you can bet Gainey will be under alot of fire from every angle.
I know we talk trade all the time, but who would want Theo anyway? Big paycheck and not too consistant. I do think putting him in another city would make all the difference. I think the pressure of making the big bucks here in Montreal is too much for him. If there was a team with another good goalie and a d man who can hold his own, I say lets shop him. I would feel much better if we still had Garon but we dont
