...we should get a much better read on the Garon trade!

After a performance like the one "Crystal Ball Who-eh" just put down...and with Radek Bonk finally playing with an ounce of confidence, And-o hopes that the Matty Garon updates might soon fall into the "who cares" category!

Huet's confidence was absolutely radiant...and that guy can handle the puck too!  And, I still think that he plays like Jeff Hackett!

As for Radek, it is ABOUT TIME that the coach started expecting more offense from this guy...and new offensively minded linemates helped BIGTIME!!!

Let's hope And-o can ask "Math-who???" soon!!!

Bonk's had 39 bad games (actually less as he missed a few with injuries) and has gotten one lucky goal.

It will take 40 solid games, and a dozen skill goals, before I begin to change my mind about Gainey's blunder with Garon / Bonk. Because right now the past forty games make Gainey's only significant trade look like a real bad exchange

I agree, and I knew And-o would be strutting after the Bonk goal.  Did you see the goal, And-o?  It went in off his pants!  Hardly the stuff a season is built around.

That said, I thought he did play a reasonably good game, as did Bulis, who's playing much better of late.

Bad goal or not, it could be just what the guy needed to spark him.

Listen  , we won ok  , I dont care if it went in off his head.   We won. Cant we celebrate the one win without criticizing the win. I would have liked to see a couple on Hasek too, I know they were without their big guns also. We won we got  2pts.  Hey we may even lose the next 20 games, but we won this one. I say we take game by game.

I hope Julien does take it game by game.  Here's what I hope he took from today's game, in prep for next game

1.  Huet played strong, so he deserves another start ... not next month, but next week in Denver

2.  Ribs floated again.  He hasn't learned much sitting for two games, and he should go back to the press box.

3.  Bulis is playing with some confidence, so let him play with Kovy in Denver

4.  Zed is in danger of a prolonged funk ... reunite him with Koivu and Ryder for a game and see if they spark
