...but when will Gainey act???

1.  Chicago is in free-fall also...Tyler Arnason or Mark Bell seem likely targets!

2.  St. Louis stinks...Doug Weight rumors abound!

3.  Tampa Bay needs a #1 goalie (so do we???)...with no cap room (Brad Richards???)

4.  ALMO is on waivers!

5.  Owen Nolan is a possibility (only for the right price though)!?!?!?

6.  Colorado seems to be looking for some defensively minded forwards (MAN, DO WE HAVE A LIST FOR THEM OR WHAT!!!)

C'mon Bob!!!  DO SOMETHING!  Show And-o that you actually want to win now!

I always feel the urge to reply to numbered lists (well, come to think of it, I feel the urge to reply to evrything)

1 When's the last season Chicago weren't? I hope we don't get injected with more dead-team poison than we have already.

2 The Blues will drop Weight quicker than Kirstie Alley after she got her stomache stapled (don't beleive the annoying ads) See number one for why I don't think he should come here

3 They don't want Theo, so the only reason Brad Richards is coming to Montreal is to play against us

4 I'm hoping for him for Serbian Christmas

5 You can't spell Owen Nolan without O-L-D... oh, wait, you can, never mind

6 Bingo. Could be the one place to mine gold. Besides, they owe us (Karma Canadiens need that side un-lopped)

A trade for the habs is like playing old maid ....but the rest of the teams can see all our cards.

Oh ya :mogilny-ribs,mogilny-ribs?hmmm

Call it "lock down", suck it up ,lets rotate sitting regs, bring the kids threw the turnstiles then back down, give expierence around.

1 Arnason and Bell are young, Why would the hawks part with good young talent.

2  Doug Weight would be good but his contract is 5.5 mil, we don't have that kinda room.

3.  Tampa wont trade Richards.  Making a run at him in the offseason when he is a FA is possible.

4. Id take ALMO especially if its on re-entry waivers at a discount

5. Owen Nolan is done as a valuable power forward IMO.

6. What do the AVs have to offer??

I'd take John-Michael Liles as a Markov backup, you could bring back the prodigal habs, and add a side of Karlis Skrastins if you'd like.

If we had beter trade bait, I'd go for some obvious choices, but I'll leave them out of it.

If the Habs had better trade bait, they wouldn't need a trade. IMHO

i REALLY dont think Arnason or bell are the guys we want coming here. Arnason is a 5'11 center ( ANOTHER SMALL GUY ) and bell....well...lets just say we dont want to be bringing guys here that we will eventually send down to the AHL. Especially if we trade away 2 regulars in Ribs and Zed....

Can't see the Avs parting with Liles cheaply.

In all honesty, i think Gainey will go out on a limb and surprise all of the National Hockey League.  I don't see a waiver or a bench warmer for another team stopping in habtown.  I see potential, skill, and size coming.  Keep out fingers crossed i guess.

Do we have another Cape Bretoner on our hands?  MacNeil is our resident expert from CB.

Welcome to the group!
