From downtown 11211, I wish you all (yes, all) the best of health and a happy new year and here's to 2006 being the year it all turns around for our lads
Hey brooky- you going down to watch the Big Ball countdown at Times Square? Here in small town New Brunswick we have our own version of the big New York New Years Countdown. At the local Country and Western bar someone gets on the honkin', tonkin, bronkin' mechanical bull and tries to stay on through the whole countdown. Trust me when I say there ain't enough Captain Morgan and coke in that bar to get me on that thing. But to each his own. Now if y'all will excuse me, my dog died, I lost my job, I been drunk for a month, and habgirl is on the west coast (trying to get in that Country mood haha)

Awesome! It's hard to get anywhere near Times Square for all the tourists, so I'll be at my pal's giant booze-fest (no driving, it's NYC where we don't know how) and then home for a damn good hangover. B12 and C all around as a swear I won't do it again next year.
I'm glad to hear that our youngsters acquitted themselves well. It's quite an experience for them, playing in front of 16.000, the game being shown on national t.v., etc. Back here the games hardly get a mention in the papers. Another nice touch is that the team got to see the Canucks play the other day. The entire experience should be a source of inspiration and an eye opener for them. Pretty ironic, though, that you and Nil have seen our juniors playing in the world championships against Canada and the USA, but nobody here has!
