I did not want to start a new topic on this one. How about "Advertising Abuse" at the Spengler Cup? Has anyone watched any of Team Canada's games on Sportsnet? Do you think it would be possible for the organizers to put advertising on one more square inch of space on a uniform or ice? Even the refereees have Skoda all over their uniforms and helmet. Every face off circle has HUGE advertising for everything form insurance to cars or breweries. It is hard to tell even where the face off circle is as it is all colored. I hope that the "billboards on skates" program never takes hold in North America. I for one find it disgusting.

It's funny, I totally agree about the advert space, but looking at an old game the other day, the boards looked so funny naked. Go figure
