And-o sure hopes these rumours are true...cuz this raises some "cap friendly" options!!!


Just have a look at guys like this;


Powerplay D-man - J.M. Liles - 25 yrs old - on pace for 19 goals and 37 assists ($450K/yr)


Defensive D-man - Kurt Sauer - 24 yrs old - on pace for 8 goals and 8 assists (this guy is HUGE)($720K/yr)


LW OR RW - Andrew Brunette - on pace for 22 goals and 39 assists (not overpaid)


ROLE PLAYERS - Bob Boughner or Brad May (relatively good cheap contracts) 


AND-O DREAMING - Some guy named JOE SAKIC is in the final year of a contract....hmmmmmm?!?!?!


Just think.....the Habs payroll would likely DECREASE (depending on who goes back to Denver) which would open a THOUSAND OPTIONS FOR LANDING US A DECENT CENTRE!!!

We do have something that the Abs are rumoured to be looking for, a defensive minded forward or 2. If you are looking for someone to go from the Habs look at a Sundstrom, Bulis, or Begin. As far as what would be coming the other way I have no idea. Only Bob Gainey and his barber knwo for sure..ok..only Bob knows for sure.
