Trading Theo now would be akin to losing a foot race and then hacking off your left foot because it didn't run fast enough. He may well be "Three Goal Theo" but if he can stop 44 shots and give the team a chance to stay in the game I sure wouldn't want to see him go!

To quote Johab "Theo is not going anywhere" and I agree. Gainey made a commitment to stay with Theo when he gave him the 3 year deal. If he had ANY intention of trading him he would have signed him to one. Besides, who is going to play goal? Please do not say Huet or Danis. Neither are ready to lead this team. Theo has had his ups and downs. My hope is that he gets it together come playoff time. But like it or not, we sink or swim with Theodore.

If there is any substance to this rumour, then it cannot be for Theo. What else does COL have that we'd want and could afford? Laperrierre?

trade huet or danis plus pretty much one of the following: dags, ribiero, bonk, perez, zed, bulis, suny, (anyone really except kovy, koivu, pleks, ryder, higgs, theo, markov)

in return we get a draft pick and tanguay or hejduk....both are making around 3.5 million which we can afford!

It is very possible that the habs and avs might be scouting for other players beside goaltenders. Beside I don't think the habs need to improve in goaltending or have an excess of quality goaltenders which they could part from. There in need of mostly defenseman and scoring help (on the first two lines). As was evident with the lack of production expecially with kovalev and koivu out (i would be looking for left wing and center, as I think we are deep at rw). I like both the play of Kovalev and Ryder, while Zednik's play has been in dire needs of improvement.

This makes the majority of the board happy....our smurf captain is gone, our overpaid inconsistant goalie is gone, the egotistical mike is gone, the ...useless bonk...gone, slow and almost pointless Dagenais ..gone, under played and defensively unaware Perezhogin gone, and any future our team has...gone and CJ...just cuz hes the scapegoat. This settles all problems this board has and brings in 4 very capable players and 1 familiar face for you all to bash...cuz our team is oh SOOO perfect after this trade. ;)

I LIKE IT!!!! But And-O will have to become an Avs fan so he will have som,ething to gripe about hehe
