Watching the Laffs/Pens game on tuesday Night - The Leafs ran into penalty trouble (what a surprise) in the third period with three players in the penalty box at once. The leafs were down two players when they took a third penalty the rule to the best of my knowledge is that the third penalty does not start until the first one ends and with a stoppage of play, but in tonight's game when the first penalty expired that player went straight on to the ice so the Leafs had 5 players on the ice (1 goalie/4 out players) along with 2 in the penalty box making 7 players the Leafs had to their disposal in around about way. So the Pens got ripped off on power play time (by their own off ice officals). Are there any refs or off ice officals out there who see it differently than I or have a different rule interpretation which I am not aware of or did I miss something.....
but one thing i can say is that they keep finding ways too win, even with all their injuries they play hard every game. Something were not, the only thing were fighting about is each other. I love CJ but something is wrong in the dressing room, don't know what but two seperate fights this week amongst teammates isn't good. They are missing as many if not more quality players and they keep winning because other players keep stepping it up. Something the habs aren't. You have to be good to be lucky. They're not a Stanley cup contender but they are looking far better than we are at the moment. Which is very frustrating too me. They are now 3pts ahead of us and have an easy schedule for the next week and a bit.

If you are looking for key differences right now between the Habs and the Leafs I will give you this to consider:
1) Leadership- Sundin is a huge difference in that lineup. Not only on the scoresheet but as a captain and a leader. Yes they won a few games when he was out but they have more depth at center. Ask yoruself, would Robs be the number 2 center on the Laffs? We are missing that right now and that is why you are seeng these scirmishes in practice. Koivu is a HUGE whole in the lineup. One because he is the captain. He is the leader and he stabilizes things. And 2 because we were hurting at Center to begin with and now we need to put Ribieoro there. This guy publicly states that he will be happy when Saks comes back so he does not have to play against the other team's top players? Huhh??
2) Goaltending- Last night Telquist stole the game. Night before Belfour shuts out Jersey in a 1-0 win. When a team is struggling., they need great, not good, but great goaltending. We have not had that YET this year. And even Theo will admit that.

In a nut shell, we have no leadership in the dressingroom and no on ice momentum. We are falling faster than the leaves on the oak tree in my back yard.
