Well another loss

I know we are only in 2nd period, but I hate to say it but this is anotehr loss. The great momentum praisd by so many on the return of Kovalev is now gone. As far as Theo being out, I think Huet is just as good so thats a wash. Bonk  who gives a S***. Now we get to Koivu. I am not sure his return will help so much. If we cannot beat Atlanta, we are in a very bad way. I say we will be below 500 in a few weeks and do not count on being in the top 8 to make he playoffs sorry

This was a very bothersome game to me......especially after the Washington loss.  A big problem on this team is we got pushed around again tonight and didn't have any fight.  Zednik must have gotten nailed 3 times.  A trade is needed to spark this team.  Bulis, Zednik, Riberio, etc....... as trade bait?????  How about signing a free agent like Owen Nolan???  Let's show a heartbeat at least.

At this stage I am willing to trade anyone to get a spark going. You are right about Zed. He is supposed to be the habs' "Power Forward". Yet he gets knocked all over the place. Right now we lack at center ice and I am afraid that even when Saks comes back it will be short term or he is not going to be 100%. We need help there and we need toughness. And by the way, "the cube" looked horrible out there last night. Gave it away 4 times and took a penalty to cause a 5 on 3 and the last goal. Komisarek was no better.

I think it has been clear in my past posts that I worry about our D a lot.  I still think we need a partner for Souray for the second pairing.  I also think we need a solid vet to pair with Komi on the 3rd pairing.  I have always thought Bouillon as a perfect #7, and I still do.  Streit needs to go to Hamilton and take on Hainsey's old role.  We certainly need to fix our center position, but I would much prefer if we fixed our D first, as they are making the forwards look bad by not getting them the puck and making our goalies look terrible by letting them get the puck too much.  I don't know if it is feasible, but my solution is Bonk to the Isles for Niinima, and Zednik to Edmonton for Staois.

I feel Komo has to be played more.  In the past two games he has played a total of 15 minutes(plus a few seconds!!!).  He is a young defenceman and needs to play to get experience and gain confidence.  He will make mistakes-the established players make them- and the lack of ice time is not helping.   He  also likes to hit and the team sure needs someone that can hit as we are being pushed around.  The three established D(Souray, Markov and Rivet) are playing maybe too much, especially Markov and Rivet (Rivet played over 30 min. in the Wash game!!!), and may be tiring.

As has been said many times why is it that the opposition goalies are playing their best games against the Habs.  In the above two games the Habs have fired 74 shots on net and only scored 2 goals.  Is it that there is a lack of quality shots?

Simply a lack of scorers and it all goes back to the center position. Everything on your offense rotates off the pivot man. Even Kovalev is lost out there without a center that know what he is doing and does not get knocked off the puck by a gust of wind. The other night in Washington Begin fired 8 shots on goal (yes he scored one but that was a tip in). He shot at least 2 from against the boards. Why? Because he does not have the ability to get to the net. Begin is a 4th line center, 3rd at best on most teams, this is not a knock against him. But your center needs to be the set up guy. Kovalev cannot do it all himself although against Ottawa he did. The opposition goalies cannot be playing above their heads game in and game out against the Habs. It is just a lack of scoring.

Who wants Bonk??? I agree a trade is needed, but who wants Bonk who has been out for weeks with a groin injury. Even when he is playing he stinks. I think his last goal was some 40 games ago dating back to last year.

Personally Dandeneault has been a HUGE disappointment. I know he played on some strong Detroit teams, but this guy has not shown any offense at all. He used to always jump into the play. What happened? Is Julien stifling his play or has he lost all confidence?

One thing I know for a fact is that all the dmen in Montreal have the green light to go with the puck whenever they want. Maybe it is a confidence issue, I don't know.

It looks like CJ has not come up with a game plan to handle the new NHL. We were using our speed in the beginning of the year but now it seems we have lost it all. Where did it go?

Cannot disagree with you but I do not see the game plan as having changed. I see the players as having stopped skating. Either way the coach has to pay unfortunately.

We all know somewthing needs to be done. We are all waiting to see if BG has the strenght to dp it. When we are in a slump like we are in now, it spreads from one player to another just like the flu. Things will get going again, but it may be too late

I must agree on Dandeneault......he is bordering on brutal!!  He takes a couple penalties a game, doesn't contribute offensively, doesn't play physical.......he has brought ZERO to the team to date.  Bonk and him are flops!!!!!!

Reread all the above posts and you will reallize that all the comments are a result of Gainey not having the right personal! So why point fingers at certain players or coaches? Sure the roster has to be held responsible when they lose or win but not if the roster isn't formed properly and is full of difficiencies. That's why their is good teams and bad. We are a bad team! Why not point the finger at the man calling the shots, Gainey?

I have been trying to give CJ and BG the benefit of the doubt, but that must end. I am more inclined to point all 10 fingers at BG. He has not helped CJ much this year. I am afraid that BG will be the only one standing once Gilette gets pissed. Of course we all need to remember that Gillette has no reason to be pissed because he has not lost any money. His team is a constant sellout at home, so he is raking in the bucks. Maybe fans need to stay home for a few games to send a message. However, if we send a strong message CJ will be out the door. I like CJ, but the coach is usually the one to go.
