Why is everything black and white for you, JohnM? Backstabbbing? Leafs fans? Do you have any idea how arrogant you sound deciding the level of loyalty of guys like Barry and myself? If you don't have the equipment to have a balanced discussion, based on facts, and not on sentiment, stay out of it and stop being so defensive and judgemental. All of your posts contain negativity and generalizations, which is OK, that's up for the reader to ignore or not, and certainly not for me to decide, but don't for a second think you have brought enough to the table here to start getting on your high horse and putting down people who just want to talk. Did it occur to you that some posts are just designed to stimulate conversation away from the usual "Ribs Sucks" and "get rid of Theo" nonsense? I don't come here to have people with a chip on their shoulder dump on me, so if you don't want to, or simply can't, comprehend the general tone of the board, don't bother trying to engage me. OK?

Brooklyn, you need to have a drink and relax, tis Christmas after all. Obviously you are loyal to the Habs or you wouldn't have written this post.

I do get defensive when people start bashing Sak and calling for the likes of Kovy to be captain. This was the post you started by the way. For 9+ years Saku has been captain of this team, he's gone through brutal injuries, cancer, really bad teams and not once has he said get me out of here. He gives it his all every night and is proud to wear the CH. When I see people post such comments it does make me angry.

It's like if someone tries to start a fight with your best friend. Would you stick up for him/her? If I could have been a player I would want to have been someone like Sak. Sorry if it upsets you that my loyalties are with Saku and yes until he has proven me wrong I will stick up for him on this board.

If you can't handle this then sorry my friend but we will have to agree to disagree.

John, I understand your loyalty and can see why you might get irked by some posts, especially ones designed to stimulate things a bit. That's a good thing, and life would get pretty boring otherwise. The only thing I ask is to keep the personal out of it. We all want the same thing, and there's no reason to be anything but good to each other here, even if the disagreement gets fueled up.

Have a great Christmas week and a Happy Hab Year

Guys- there is not one person on this board who questions the loyalty, heart and dedication of Koivu, myself included. He epitomozes everything you want in a habs uniform. The fact is that he has been hurt alot. And yes much of that has to do with how hard he plays the game (The same reason that Lindros gets concussions). But as habs fans we are concerened with the lack of depth at the center ice position. And if Gainey re-signs Koivu (and we all hope he does), then he needs to address Sak's injury woes and make sure he has the depth at that position to cover the teams a$$ when he is out. Because right now, having Ribieoro as your number one and Begin as number 2 is just plain bad.

There is no doubt we need to do something at ctr. I have a feeling we will not be making theplayoffs. Sorry, but I feel strongly unless gainey pulls the plug we will be out early

That more than any one thing is the problem right now. We are like a donut. No centers. You cannot even go with set lines because you are forced to use guys different places when you can. Do we not have a center in Hamilton?!???? If not then what the hell was Gainey doing drafting a goalie in the first round?
