Good one, Brook, but you're off by an hour.  Washington is on Eastern time, one and a half hours behind Newfoundland.


By the way, a bit of trivia: Did you know that the time zone concept was invented by a Halifax native, Sir Sanford Fleming?  There's a very nice municipal park named after him over here.
