For sure he did. I thought he was very solid tonight. Funny, but I'm not nearly as nervous with Theo being out as I was earlier today.

Aside from the huge difference that obviously Kovalev makes on this team, we also got timely and solid 'tending last night. When we scored to make it 3-1 I thought "OK, here is where Ottawa comes down and scores an iffy one to make it 4-1 and kill "Uncle Mo". Instead Huet made the key saves when he had to, sending the fat lady, who was warming up, back to the showers.

Huet was real solid last night. I noticed in the game in Minnisota how calm he seems to play. I liked him that game as well. IMO both Dannis and Huet have played better than Theo all year.

Huet appeared last night seemed to stay "up" better than both Theo and Dannis. Lets hope Rollie the goalie does not muckle onto him!!!

I also like that he can handle the puck. Theo scares the c#@% out of me every time he touches the puck( how and why did we pay him 5.5 mil???!!).

I think it's hard to give a goaltender a star when 3 go in.

Who would you have put him instead of?  Hard not to mention Kovalev and Ryder.  I thought "Who eh?" played a great game, but as heet says, it's hard to be a star when you've let in three goals.  Nonetheless, this takes nothing away from the guy; he was very solid out there.  Great to see.

(Now would you please explain that water bottle comment?)

not to mention the 3 posts the sens hit.....As good as Huet LOOKED last night, i think the post deserved the 2nd star....IT made the key saves of the game....the ones that beat huet but couldnt beat the post....Sorry guys but Huets performance wasnt the most impressive performace ive seen. It was good no doubt, but not much better, if at all, than if theo was in net.

To be realistic, Huet may prove to be a capable backup, but don't look for him to replace Theo as #1.  I liked what I saw last night, but I think Theo is the more skilled of the two.  In particular, Theo's lateral movement is much better.

I hope he gets back to health and top form; we will need him to be sharp.  Although with his bad knee, he says he can't bend it, so he has to stay up all the time.  For those of us (all of us) complaining about him always going down, maybe this is a good thing.  Play him now!
