I guess this goes with my all is not lost post but for some reason I am not overly worried about the Habs right now. I mean it really frustrates me after a loss but even with the really bad way we've been playing over the last 15 games we are still in 7th place. Did anyone really think we would be vying for #1 overall, c'mon get a grip. If the playoffs were to start now we would be playing the Hurricanes, not so bad. Every team will go through rough patches and we have gone through ours and am sure we will be turning the corner soon. As long as we don't finish

eighth and make it to the playoffs we should be ok.

Whatever happens we need to have our strongest point in nets, we should have that with Theo. Whatever he needs to do, i.e. take time off for injury, get a new goalie coach, take time off to get his head straight, do it cause we need him to have a chance in the playoffs.

I'm with you on this one. I'll even keep ribs rather than make a bad trade now. In our wildest dreams, we would make it to the 2nd round, and that'll be fun, but there's nothing wrong with the team that time won't heal. And if we can find a good trade for Ribs, I'll send him flowers on the way to the airport

John - good post. Buffalom Tampa Bay and Calgary all went through rough times this year but did not panic and fire coaches and make trades. And look at them now.

I have said this before and am sticking to it.  I knew coming into this season we would have to fight for every point we get and if we can get a good start to the beginning of the season we will fight down the stretch for the 7th or 8th spot.

We are an average team with a lot of fans who have passion.  We have to wait a good 2 years for some of our rookies to get better.  Check out Ottawa now.  We have some good prospects and just one or 2 good free agents and we will be fine.

GO HABS GO!!

i dont think were a #1 team...i think thats obvious...i do however thing we are better than a 8th or 7th team...i am expecting at LEAST a 6th place finish this year. And it is definately possible.

P.S. A couple of buddies and i were watching the game last night...switching back between the habs game and the sens game ( 1 friend is a sens fan ) He was laughing at how bad toronto is...we all were actually...and we noticed, Toronto is in 8th, Ottawa in 1st...if the season ended yesterday,=...we'd have another ottawa vs toronto match-up...think ottawa will choke again this time? i dont...not with a 8-0 and a 8-2 romping in consecutive matchups with the leafs. I think the sens have finally figured out the leafs....and are showing no mercy. Good for them!
