Theodore - healthy or not?

Was Theodore the backup goalie last night?

The real question is: was he merely rested to give Huet some ice time, or is he injured?

Anyone know the answer for sure?

im POSITIVE he was sat for rest because of his bruised knee. The guy took a good shot in the knee against the oilers, and its probably really tender right now. And against a team like columbus (or so we thought) we could afford to stick huet in net and let theo rest. Either way....Theo will be in net tuesday...he'll play through whatever pain he will have....bruised knee isnt THAT bad....it cant get any worse than a bruise....its not like he dislocated his patella or tore his MCL.

Thanks, Johab.  I assume you meant to say Minnesota.  For some reason, I get those two mixed up as well...........same part of the world, more or less.............

Let him rest another game. He won't be a game breaker against Ottawa. He hasn't been a game breaker all year.

You should rest Theo anyway. He would not win the game against Ottawa, so if we are going to lose  let Huet be the loser. I say it is more important to rest him.

i actually agree with davidb on this one   if we are gonna get desroyed, i think its better that huet takes the loss  hes still young and can tell himself that he'll get better with more experiance. give thoe the loss  and that will rip apart his confidence even more.   he seems like the kinda guy who doesn't make excuses and will put the blame on himself. theo's problem is not his skills  its in his head  and he needs to get over it soon   get him back to winning and we'll see a much better Theo    putting him up against Ottawa right now is not the way to do it

What an attitude you guys have!  You all concede the game to Ottawa even before it starts.  They're playing at home, it's Koivu's first game back before the home town fans, and Kovalev's first game back from his surgery.  I think the guys will be pumped.  Ottawa, meanwhile, is overconfident by the thrashing they gave the Leafs, and have not been playing well of late.  I predict the Habs will come out flying, and hang on for a 3-2 victory.

So there!

you are right Nil   they could still win    but if theo is hurt   he may not play as well as he can   and losing cuz of Theos injury would be hard on theo. what i was sayin is if theo is hurt   playing injured against a very good Ottawa team would bring his confidence down even more   not to mention the fact that And-o would be ripping CJ for putting him in hurt   and im not sure Barry could take that. joking aside   i still like Theo  and i think he could shut them down enough to put the habs on road to a victory against Ottawa.   but playing hurt might be a bad idea. if hes ok   by all means  put him in.  i think if we do win it will be more of a 4-3 or 5-4 score.   kinda dissapointed in myself that im following the path of negativity   i need to take a shower  i feel so dirty
