Looks like Claude Julien did tear that strip off..........

This from Red Fisher's column:

------------------------------------------

There's nothing complicated about what it takes to win, even for a Canadiens team without Alex Kovalev and Saku Koivu: have the real Jose Theodore show up, and bring in the power from unlikely sources.

And oh yes, it doesn't hurt when Claude Julien loses his cool.

"We had a big meeting Sunday morning after that loss to Anaheim," said Tomas Plekanec in the moments after this 5-2 victory over the Phoenix Coyotes, "and the coach let us have it. We knew that we had to do a better job, and tonight, we saw a lot of guys step up."

-----------------------------------------

Good job, Coach.  And good job, players, for taking it to heart.

Proves to me that CJ should stay. He is the motivation for our team right now... lacking Kovy and Saku. I am confident with CJ. I still wish Theo would play like he did last night... every night!

That statement and the results last night fully prove that CJ has not "lost the room". If he had, then it would have fallen on deaf ears. The fact that they came out and played their butts off for him proves that they want to play for him.

For those who were calling for the coach's head. Obviously, one good win doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things. But neither does a dozen-game min-slump when you're missing so many key players. You have to stick with people who have managed to take a young team with injury problems to 7-games above .500...
