under the new cba a team can take 1 player a year to arb. if he doesnt improve for the rest of the year would you take theo to arb. to try and save a few million for next yers cap . it would piss him off but i would , only if he doesnt pick it up for the rest of the year , with his numbers he should be making 3 mil tops , so it would save us 2.5 mill .

I can tell you what bugs me to no end. If Theo had signed for alot less money than he did but ended up having an awesome, MVP type year, I can guarantee you that his agent would demand that the remaining of his contract be re-negotiated for more money. But do you think his agent (or Theo for that matter) will go to Gainey at the end of this season (if hi spoor play continues) and say "I am really sorry Bob. I am going to take a cut in pay because the way I am playing, I am ripping you off"...uhmmm no. It is a one way street.
