I just read a post on hockeybuzz.com that the Canucks have been soliciting Bertuzzi to the Habs, Kings, and Rangers. From the post, it sounds as though the Kings have a leg up. No other particulars of the trade talks were discussed. Also, nothing to suggest that the rumours are credible.
Here's an excerpt from the post, dated Dec. 5:
Bertuzzi has been also linked to the LA Kings this morning...A source said, "The group spent alot of time in the last 72 hours putting together possible packages that would mean they are in heavy pursuit of a big time player. Things are very hush-hush, but the assumption is that Todd Bertuzzi is the focal point." There are still a few good sources that are linking Todd to both the NY Rangers and Montreal Canadiens.
Can you ask them what their sources are? And what the Habs are supposedly offereing (please let it be Ribs, Bonk and Dags...as if!)
Off limits - Ryder, Komisarek, Plekanec, Perezhogin, Price, Koivu, Markov, Bouillion. Is that too much? I think they are one heck of a core to build around. As much as I love Begin, I'm sure he'd be a great trade piece. If we have to lose Souray (let's hope not) then it better be to the West. I think Vancouver would like Bertuzzi out of the West...see what I'm saying? Maybe a 3-way with Souray to LA, Bertuzzi to Montreal and scraps to Vancouver (Ribs, Begin and whatever LA has)
Sports talk show this morning saying he's being offered around the league. Habs, Kings were mentioned, also Luongo's named kicked around as Nucks still don't have a "top notch" starting goalie.

say what you will but the whole Moore incident scared his play for life imho. he will always be a softer player from now on...you can see it in his game this year.

It's hard to come back from that sort of thing. Also, he's always looking over his shoulder, so how effective can he be?
