This is an admittedly stupid question (I know, the rule rather than the exception from this corner).
Garth Murray was in uniform last night, but never left the bench, not even for a second. Does he get credited with a game played? Say it was his first-ever game in the NHL (it wasn't), can he officially say he played in the NHL? My guess is the answer is "no"; that he would have to log ice time to qualify. I base this on backup goalies - dressed but no action. Their stats only include minutes actually on the ice. no minutes, no game played.

I'm surprised he didnt get any playing time at all, seems like a waste. It looks like we rolled with only 3 lines last night because 3 players barely got any time at all. Murray had 0 minutes on ice, Kostitsyn played 0:29 seconds, and Perezhogin had 2:31. Kind of a risky choice if you ask me.
I know there is a lot of times u do not want to see young players brought up too early because they could be harmed if they play bad. I feel that way too, but I also like seeing them play every once in a while. I wish they televised the Bulldogs on DTV. I would have liked to see him. I watched the bench anyone know what number he wore????
